Meet the Doctor
Hello!  I wanted to give you the best way of meeting me before meeting me!  I dedicated the “meet the doctor” section to giving you a looking glass into my life on a very personal level.  I asked myself, “How can I help a prospective patient get to know me without really knowing me?”  This section is my attempt to do this from the comfort of your home and it begins telling you about my home.

I was born and raised in a small Eastern Iowa community by two wonderful parents.  I have my Mother to thank for my enthusiasm for life.  She taught high school English and was the high school Thespian coach for over 30 years. She was inducted into the Iowa Teachers Hall of Fame and is just a wonderful caring woman.  I have my Father to thank for my sense of humor and love of music.  He was a High School band director before going into business.
I learned how to think ultra-positive about everything from both my parents.  I have shared this with you now because it’s who I am and I think that’s important for you when making a decision about who should lead you in your wellness healthcare.

I am a family man!  I have a lovely wife and four children.  I met my wife at Palmer Chiropractic and have since built our future in Grand Rapids.  Right now she is busy shuttling our kids to and from school and sports functions, but one day hope to have a “meet Dr. Nicole” section for you to read!  I am grateful for all she is able to do for us on the homestead.

I love children, sports, reading and the Iowa Hawkeyes!  I attended the University of Iowa, graduating with a degree in Biology and Communication Studies.  After Iowa City, I traveled 54 miles east to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.  I was the golf coach while attending Palmer and I still love golf and teaching kids the game.  I have several students that I give golf lessons to and find that very rewarding.  I finished fourth in the Class 3A State Golf Tournament in Iowa and was a walk-on at University of Iowa my freshman year.  I love competitive golf and play locally in several of the West Michigan Amateurs.  I have a very serious intention of playing on the Senior PGA Tour one day!

I grew up sharing and teaching others.  I really enjoy making someone better.  Be that in the physical, mental or spiritual realm.  I believe in people and their ability more than they do, and it’s my ability to help you achieve what you didn’t at first believe possible.  I am constantly learning and teaching new concepts about health and life.  I want people to have better health and learn better life-skills so it will lead to healthier households and ultimately a better planet!  How to be a better human and helping others see that they can really be a better father, worker, co-worker, athlete, salesman, or son-in-law is truly remarkable. To see these changes first- hand… I am so blessed to be a chiropractor.  It has let me be a teacher, a coach, a doctor, business owner and a mentor…all the things I wanted to be at one time or another in my life…all in one!

Every day I am thankful for what I get to do and truly look forward to getting up and going to work.  I would appreciate the opportunity to see if I feel I could help you!
